Hola! Welcome to our neck of the woods!
We thought it would be pretty important to share who we are, just so we’re not complete strangers! We are Beth and Gerald, a married entertainment duo! We used to think that advertising we were a married couple wasn't good for business, but we quickly found out it made a great impact on our relationship with couples and the service we provide! You may wonder where the AV comes into play. Its not audio visual, its actually our beautiful (yet very difficult to say) last name - Aguilar Verdiguel! Free weddings to anyone who can say it first time!
Our stories are very different so lets start with Beth! "I always knew I wanted to act but had no idea I could even hold a note! I joined Italia Conti associates back in the school days with my two best friends, just to see what it was like. Little did I know, I was about to step into the start of my performing career at the age of 10! In 2010 I started my professional training journey at The BRIT School - honestly this place changed my life! And later moved on to train for 4 years at Laine Theatre Arts. I was incredibly lucky to gain my first job on the cruise ships straight out of college and spent 6 years sailing the seven seas! I was a lead singer and dancer in the onboard shows and lived my absolute best life travelling the world - doing what I loved every day of the week! This is where Gerald walked into my life! So I count myself pretty lucky!"
Gerald "I bring the funky name to the mix! I was born and raised in Honduras, Central America and left my Latino roots to start my ship life journey back in 2014, as a bartender! (I'm pretty handy with the cocktails!) I always knew my passion was music and worked really hard to get an audition to become a DJ on board as soon as I could. Lucky for me, I was Pro DJ by 2015 and providing music for thousands of guests every week. By travelling the world, I gained all the music knowledge, genres and experience I could have never imagined and feel great pride in what I can now produce for my clients!"
WHERE DID IT ALL START?
THE ‘US’ PART.
We have great knowledge in weddings, how they work, what our couples want and even how to support in every way we possibly can! To cut a very long story short, (a story for another day) we got married twice. Yes - that's right! We travelled to Italy back in 2020 to get married officially and later got married the way we had always dreamed of in July 2022! It's a big part of our story and the reason behind our passion and the love that we give to our couples in planning their big day. We built AV Entertainment together, so we could leave the ship life behind and continue doing what we love, whilst making people happy, have loads of fun & put smiles on as many faces as we could. It’s why we do what we do and we wouldn't change that for the world. We have BIG plans for AV Entertainment. We are so grateful to you all and to be a part of your special celebrations!
We get a front row seat to your special day & we count ourselves very lucky! The day is so full of love and happiness and we just love seeing it all unfold from the planning process to the moment! Beth usually ends up being the wedding fairy on the day also. We love creating relationships with our couples and truly do anything we can to help on the day!
